My name is Andres and i go to a middle school in Oakland.People say I'm a cool person to be with.All my friends say I'm a good friend because i been there for them.I'm tall have a Mohawck.My personality is very good.I don't like treating people bad.I care about people I'm fair with everybody.

I never got to meet you but  my mom told me about you.
My mom said you like to cook a lot and that you smelled like food all the time.My mom also said that you always liked to wear your gray sweeter.
Every time i look at your pictures it gets me sad because i didn't even get to say hi once.
You looked like a awesome person to be with.
I thank you grandma for having my mom has your daughter because you gave me a good mom.

My College Essay

Hello my name is Andres Montano and i want to go to college so i could go have a good future.I could describe myself by a good leader but sometimes i might go of task.I could also describe myself by friendly person.I’m a friendly person because i don’t like violence.

Now I’m going to talk about my community.My community is cool but to many gangs everywhere in Oakland,Ca.It’s dangerous being in the streets because you never know what could happened.I’m saying this because a lot of people steal and fight in Oakland ! Now i am going to tell you how can you get respect.You could get respect by you respecting them so they respect you.My community Oakland is one of the tops that is more dangerous.Is dangerous because a lot of gangs and a lot of violence !

   

I could also describe myself has a smarty person.I describe myself like this because when i want to I really focus and i work hard.I want to go to college because i want to have a good future and also so i could have a good education.I’m very happy because I’m going to be the first one to go to college out of all my family.  

   

My challenges for me in school is paying attention in class.Also there’s a lot fake friends that are just talking smack behind your back.Another challenge is to do work that you don’t understand.I’m going to explain the first reason when the teacher is talking I interrupt and I don’t pay attention.Also school is school is challenging because sometimes we do things that we haven’t learned.

Our community would be better if we had programs in Oakland to help the teenagers in a gang. We need people support so they could have the programs. If our community had no gangs Oakland would be a nice place to live. Everything would be clean and it would be a nice neighborhood. For example it would look like Alameda. And Alameda has no gangs ! Fruitvale would be better with no gangs because everything would be clean nice. The Fruitvale stores would have more people because the people wouldn’t be afraid to go out. Our community would be better if we didn’t have no gangs because a lot of people would feel safer. They feel scared because they have to be protecting there back.

Our community needs support from people specially your parents. People need support love from there parents or adults or friends. The community doesn’t care about the gangs they just treat them like trash ! Our community should have more people to support people to get out of gangs. A lot of people are in gangs because they think only the gang members care about them. But that is not true because your family cares about you and your friends do to. And what makes gang members not feel loved is that the family never shows love to them and never support them. They need  a lot of support so they would still go to school and be safe not going to the street. Our community would be better if we help all the gang members to try to get them all and no more violence ! Violence is what affects our community because a lot of people are dying and people are disappearing.

    

Freedom is to be free nobody tells you what to do.Freedom is like to be liberated nobody stops you of what you want to do.

Freedom is a very good thing that’s like what life is about.Nobody gets to control your life for you.When people control your life.
